A round up of ArabPlast 2017

We’ve been present at this event for many years and with the green shoots of the UAE economy showing we didn’t want to miss the 2017 event!

Sakis ChatzinikolaouThis bi-annual show held in Dubai stretches across some eight halls covering materials, chemicals and auxiliaries, plastic packaging (machinery and services), semi-finished products, technical parts and reinforced plastics plus post processing machinery and plant for printing and finishing plastics. It’s not just a Middle East event nowadays, companies from across the globe come together to talk polymers. And the visitor profile is as widespread covering R&D specialists, engineers, trade associations, CEOs and managing directors alongside decision and opinions makers in the polymer industry. Our technical sales manager for the mineral product range we supply to the industry, Dr Sakis Chatzinikolaou, met with a wide range of polymer companies during the exhibition. Highlighting our natural halogen free flame retardant product UltraCarb to compounders and masterbatchers, this unique FR product proved to be a key interest for new developments in the Middle East region.

We’re always keen to present the benefits of all of our minerals to a polymer audience; MagniF, a functional filler widely used in the Automotive industry due to its naturally high density and in detectable polymers due to its ferri-magnetic properties.  MicaFort is a range of special mica based products increasingly used in thermoplastic compounds; offering clear differentiating advantages in polyamide and polypropylene compounds. And for wires and cables our FR mineral UltraCarb offers benefits beyond the classic endothermic functionality with a three stage decomposition (fire retardant) mechanism perfect for cable compounders.

We’re happy to find mineral solutions for the polymer products you’re manufacturing in the Middle East; with a dedicated technical sales manager and existing customers across the region we’re easy to do business with. If you missed the event and are based in the Middle East you are warmly encouraged to get in touch with Sakis using the contact field specifying your country.
