Minelco Ltd officially open 'Jubilee Works'

Last week saw the official launch of Minelco’s latest completed investment, the ‘Jubilee Works’ at Flixborough, UK.

On Thursday 4th October 2012 Minelco colleagues came together to celebrate the new processing facility commissioning to become fully operational after receiving the initial planning permission back in June 2011.

To mark the special day the leader of Lincolnshire’s local authority, Councillor Liz Redfern, attended and declared the facility operational by turning on the new blending machine (pictured above with Minelco CEO Bob Boulton and plant operator Gaz Owen).

The event perfectly captured Minelco’s investment coming to fruition; speeches were made emphasising the vision in which Minelco have for expansion and how long term sustainability and contribution to the local economy remains an important factor amongst  the company's values and mission.

Bob Boulton, CEO, comments: "Innovation and development are the backbone of our companies success. Refractory products is a prime example, from 500 tonnes in 2004 to 11,500 tonnes in 2011 and expertise and knowledge being transferred around the globe.

On behalf of the company I would like to take this opportunity to thank and congratulate all those involved in the planning, construction and commissioning of the new site, in this ‘Jubilee Year’ for the UK.’"
