Small Spherical beads under magnifying glass

They are composed of aluminosilicate glass, which has a high melting point, low heat conductivity, resistance to chemical attack and high physical strength. roduce Cenospheres has the appearance of a dry, free-flowing powder that varies in colour from grey to off-white depending upon the nature of the source.

CenoSpheres are free flowing and highly dispersible in their dry state. The spherical shape impedes straight-line sound transmission, making them an effective acoustic dampening material.

  • Oil rig platform offshore

    Oil Well Cementing

CenoSpheres possess excellent crush resistance and maintain good flow properties under high pressure. They have a proven history as an additive in low density cement slurries employed in oil well cementing operations.

  • concrete building structure

    Pre-cast concrete

CenoSpheres can be incorporated into pre-cast concrete sections for high-rise buildings, reducing the density of the structure whilst retaining the strength of the concrete.

  • Interior of car

    Automotive

CenoSpheres are used in bitumen-based coatings and sheets in the automotive industry to insulate the passenger compartments of motor vehicles from unwanted road and engine noise.

  • Coatings

CenoSpheres are suitable for decorative plaster. The round shape of CenoSpheres imparts good workability into the plaster, whilst reducing the density of the mix.

  • Man standing in big kiln

    Refractory and Foundry

The good thermal stability, high insulation and low thermal expansion mean this product is ideal for refractory and foundry applications including cast moulds, insulating materials and tundish covers.

Cenospheres standard grades

The standard grade for Cenospheres is G50.

Cenospheres packaging

Cenospheres are available in 20kg paper sacks, 1000kg bulk bags or in bulk tankers.

Cenospheres toxicology

A non-toxic, non-hazardous, chemically and thermally stable mineral. You can download the Safety Data Sheet in the section on the right hand side for further information.
