Free seminar: MagnaDense into Civil Engineering - LKAB Minerals
Pouring high density concrete

Join our UK colleagues Richard Hunt and Mark Moriarty for the free technical seminar organised by the Concrete Society.

The event takes place on November 12th at the University of Leeds and is an opportunity to learn more about MagnaDense in Civil Engineering applications.

Trustworthy heavyweight concrete experience

For over 30 years, LKAB Minerals have supplied MagnaDense into Civil Engineering applications, for use as an aggregate in concrete. Whilst previously the use of high density concrete containing the natural mineral Magnetite was in radiation shielding applications, we are now seeing a shift towards more diverse applications including tunnels, bridges, renewable energy and offshore applications.

Presenting the characteristics of MagnaDense

This presentation will focus on some of the characteristics of MagnaDense and its advantages as a dense aggregate for concrete, as well as some of the more recent projects where MagnaDense concrete was used to overcome civil engineering challenges.

We hope you can join us for this free seminar. Places are limited and need to be booked in advance via the online booking form.
