The project Contractors
The main contractor on this project is Vistry Partnerships. This company is one of the leading regeneration specialists with over 100 project sites currently within the UK.
Vistry selected sub-contractor Mec-Serv who is one of the largest screeders in the UK. They are known to use predominately Gypsol on their projects. Mec-Serv worked with Capital Concrete one of the newest, large-scale producers into the London ready-mix market for their superior service and quality.
In the past few years, UK construction has continued to see an increase in demand for sustainable materials and practices. With a typical annual screed market in the region of 10 million square metres per annum, the demand for sustainable screed solutions is only going to increase.
LKAB’s Gypsol was chosen due to its sustainability, product quality and being cost-efficient.
Capitalflow Gypscreed LL was the product of choice, using the Gypsol binder initially. Then as the project progressed, LKAB released their new Complete binder which has many added benefits that were observed and impressed Warren Radford Mec-Serv Commercial Manager. Warren stated “it’s a game-changer and step forward in liquid screeds due to its ease to lay, minimal shrinkage and crack resistance. Capitals supply and product have been second to none and we are excited to continue working together on future projects”. Capital supplied circa 1600m3 to this project.
