Join us at Wembley Stadium, London on the 4th April to find out more about the use of GGBS and MagnaDense in concrete.
Multiple industrial minerals for concrete
The ICT Symposium is one of our first exhibitions as a combined LKAB Minerals, following the acquisition of Francis Flower in December 2018. Alongside our exhibition, James Bibby, European Technical and R&D Director will be presenting the efficient use of GGBS in the modern world at the conference.
The Symposium, in its 47th year, will focus on Efficient Concrete Production, showcasing the latest materials and techniques.
GGBS for sustainable cement
Ground Granulated Blastfurnace Slag (GGBS) is made from a by-product of the iron manufacturing process. It is utilised as a cement replacement in concrete production, replacing the Portland Cement content in concrete by up to 70%. It can not only improve durability but also significantly reduce the embodied CO2 of the finished concrete.
MagnaDense for high density concrete
LKAB Minerals supplies MagnaDense to the Concrete Industry as an aggregate in high density concrete, achieving densities of up to 4.1t/m3. The uses of dense concrete containing the natural iron ore mineral MagnaDense has grown over the years, from the traditional hospital radiation shielding builds, to tunnels, nuclear, renewable energy and offshore applications.
We look forward to meet you in London this spring!
