Minelco had a 32.22sqm stand at the 2011 European Coatings show which proved to be an outstanding success.
We welcomed over 200 visitors onto our stand over the three days of this exhibition; it was wonderful to see it so busy on the first day which is hopefully a sign of a strong coatings industry in Europe.
Our stand personnel had various discussions with ‘coatings people’ on the mineral products we manufacture and supply. The flame retardant minerals in our range were of real interest to the coatings market for two reasons; firstly the flame / fire retardancy they impart to a coating / paint and secondly as an extension for TiO2. The mica products we manufacture have always been of value to the coatings industry particularly those grades developed for specific applications / problem solving. It was pleasing to have discussions on the mica at the show with some very real prospects for future business. The dolomite granules and powder we manufacture were also of interest especially to plaster / putz manufacturers who need a sustainable and consistent product like Minelco FordaDol.
Having a stand at this exhibition has been of great value to Minelco in the past and certainly this year. All of the feedback from stand personnel was positive; they all enjoyed meeting new people and of course seeing valued current customers.
