Introducing Minelco to the Chinese Nuclear Industry

Nuclear power station
To protect radiation from nuclear waste, MagnaDense can be used to make high density concrete waste containers.

On the 8 and 9 December Minelco participated in the Nuclear New Build Summit.

Leon Hendriks (Minelco Asia Pacific) and James Qi (Minelco Tianjin Minerals) exhibited at this two day event in Shanghai with the aim of introducing MagnaDense to the market.

In Europe this product is fast becoming the preferred aggregate for radiation shielding so this summit provided an excellent opportunity to promote MagnaDense for this industry.

Delegates at the summit were the target audience for Minelco enabling Leon and James to talk to suppliers, physicists and contractors in the field of nuclear power plants.  The primary interest was for MagnaDense in concrete used for radiation shielding however other opportunites arose for discussions on other Minelco products.  For radiation proof high voltage cables Minelco UltraCarb™ was presented and in the area of super alloys the products molybdenum and tungsten were of interest.

This summit was a great success for Minelco to talk directly to Nuclear industry specialists.
