Therefore our customers use this in a large variety of constructions, including both commercial and domestic projects.

Gypsol Classic; a multi-purpose screeding solution

You can use the screed to produce a smooth, flat and level floor to form the sub-base for subsequent floor coverings for internal floors in, among others:

  • houses,
  • apartment schemes,
  • schools,
  • hospitals,
  • offices

Specially trained screeders pump the screed into place by using specialised equipment. This screed is our most popular screed. Notably, because it offers a cost-effective and environmentally friendly alternative to cement-based screeds.

Our complete Gypsol range

We understand that situations differ and that projects might require a different type of screed. We have therefore developed a full range of screeds that will suit every situation.

You can read more information on the individual product pages.

  1. Rapide; A self-compacting, self-smoothing, fast-drying floor screed
  2. Classic; Our general-purpose screeding system. The most commonly used material in our range.
  3. HTC; Gypsol HTC (High Thermal Conductivity) for use with underfloor heating and cooling systems.
  4. TS-15; An ultra-thin screed for bonded and un-bonded applications at a minimum depth of 15mm.
  5. TS-20; A thin screed suitable for bonded and un-bonded applications down to a 20mm minimum depth.
  6. XS; Extra strength material for use in heavy-duty applications, where loading is likely to be higher than normal.
  7. TimBRE; Specially formulated and tested for use in timber frame and over timber supported floors including acoustic conditions.
  8. Sureflo; Pre-blended product supplied in 25kg bags for mixing on site. Ideal where minimal quantities are required, or access for ready-mix lorries is not possible.
  9. Summit; Particularly fit for screeds pumped over very long distances or high buildings of 10 stories and above.
  10. Modular; Designed for use in modular construction to allow early movement of units, also for a lightweight steel frame and Lewis Decking.

Gypsol Classic - Frequently Asked Questions

  • What is the minimal Gypsol Classic screed thickness my floor needs?

    +

Gypsol Classic screed can be used either with or without insulation to the following minimum depths

    • 40mm Floating Commercial
    • 35mm Floating Domestic
    • 30mm Unbonded
    • 25mm Bonded
    • 25mm cover to underfloor heating pipes
  • How soon can I lay my floor coverings?

    +

Gypsol Classic screed dries naturally in around 28 days in right drying conditions. If you have underfloor heating, you can commission and run this to force dry the screed in which case it will be dry in just 13 days. Gypsol Classic screed dries by evaporation of residual moisture into the air above it. It is therefore important to ensure that drying is carried out in well-ventilated conditions to remove the moisture as it evaporates. It is also important to ensure that an appropriate moisture test is carried out to confirm the screed is suitably dried before applying floor coverings.
