Seven years of gold: LKAB Minerals awarded again by EcoVadis
LKAB Minerals has once again been awarded the EcoVadis Gold Medal, recognising our commitment to sustainability and responsible business practices.
The 2026 assessment marks our seventh consecutive Gold Medal and our strongest improvement since 2019, with our overall score increasing from 78 to 84 points. The result places LKAB Minerals in the 97th percentile of companies assessed worldwide, meaning we rank among the top 5% of organisations evaluated by EcoVadis.

Strong performance across key areas
This year’s assessment highlighted progress across several sustainability themes, reflecting the continuous improvement work taking place across LKAB Minerals.
Our strongest result was in the Environment category, where we achieved 94 points. We also improved our scores in Labour & Human Rights and Business Ethics, while maintaining a strong performance in Sustainable Procurement. Across all categories, LKAB Minerals continues to perform well above industry averages.
The assessment recognised improvements in policies, processes and reporting, alongside the continued development of our sustainability management systems. Positive external recognition of initiatives linked to low-carbon solutions and responsible business practices also contributed to the outcome.
A company-wide effort
The result reflects contributions from teams across the organisation, who provided evidence, data and documentation to support the assessment process. Their efforts helped demonstrate the progress being made across our operations and strengthened our overall performance. Building on our success
While retaining Gold Medal status is an achievement worth celebrating, the EcoVadis assessment also provides valuable insight into where we can improve further. The latest recommendations will be reviewed and incorporated into future sustainability initiatives as we continue to strengthen our environmental, social and governance performance.
This year’s result demonstrates that LKAB Minerals is not only maintaining high standards, but continuing to make meaningful progress year after year.
