Gypsol SUREFLO; a high-performance screed designed explicitly for underfloor heating

You can mix and place Sureflo easily without the need for specialist equipment. Also, it is perfect for small scale installations. Therefore you can use it to make post-installation alterations to a larger screed or for making repairs to existing screeds. Customers use our Gypsol SUREFLO with or without underfloor heating. Besides, the screed is suitable for both embedded and overlay underfloor heating systems. When you mix with clean water per the manufacturer’s instructions, Gypsol Sureflo will offer all of the advantages of other Gypsol screeds as well as being in small easy to handle packaging.

Gypsol Sureflo - Frequently Asked Questions

  • What is the minimum Gypsol SUREFLO screed thickness my floor needs?

Gypsol SUREFLO screed can be used either with or without insulation to the following minimum depths:

    • 40mm Floating Commercial
    • 35mm Floating Domestic
    • 30mm Unbonded
    • 25mm Bonded
    • 25mm cover to underfloor heating pipes
  • How soon can I lay my floor coverings after using Gypsol Sureflo?

At a depth of 50mm, Gypsol SUREFLO screed dries naturally in around 28 days in good drying conditions. If you have underfloor heating, you can commission and run this to force dry the screed in which case it will be dry in just 13 days. Your Gypsol SUREFLO screed dries by evaporation of residual moisture into the air above it. It is therefore essential that you ensure to carry out drying in well-ventilated conditions. These conditions will remove the moisture as it evaporates. Also, it is vital to ensure you carry out an appropriate moisture test to confirm the screed is suitably dried before applying floor coverings.

  • How will Gypsol SUREFLO affect my underfloor heating?

We have designed our SUREFLO specifically for a floor with embedded underfloor heating. This heating can be either electric or warm water. Because you can lay this even thinner than our other screed it allows for just 20mm to cover underfloor heating pipes. There is less mass to heat up, which enables the screed to generate thermal inertia very quickly. Because it has a high thermal conductivity which has been independently tested and verified, it allows that thermal inertia to be created at much lower operating temperatures. As a result, Gypsol SUREFLO offers an unrivalled response profile making your underfloor heating up to 25% more efficient than other screed systems.
